Mastering Metabolism To Lose Belly Fat and Healthy Weight Loss ~ Part 5

6.    Weight Train
It won’t make you lose weight, because muscle is heavier than fat, but it will help you lose belly fat and get slim, trim and tone.  Additionally, weight training increases muscle mass, which equates to an increase in BMR.

7.    Increase High Intensity Cardio
By this, it is not meant that you should run at top speed for hours each day, but it does mean that you should find a cardio activity that will increase heart rate and metabolism rates and do it a few times per week for twenty or thirty minutes.  Remember, it is better to interject changes in speed or resistance, so the body doesn’t think about going into survival mode.

Not only does high intensity cardio boost the metabolism, it also burns a large number of calories immediately.  Running can burn nearly six hundred calories per hour and aerobics can burn nearly five hundred per hour.

Mastering Metabolism To Lose Belly Fat and Healthy Weight Loss ~ Part 4

Now that we understand metabolism and that there is a fine line between Healthy weight loss, lose belly fat, caloric levels and those that will push the body into survival mode, it is time to consider what habits will best assist us in maintaining that balance.

1.    Eat
When it comes to trying to lose belly fat or healthy weight loss, there is more to eating well than trying to cut calories.  You must be certain to eat enough to keep your metabolism working at top speeds.  You might use the one thousand calorie mark as a general lower limit on daily caloric intake.

2.    Eat Frequently
It is necessary to get the necessary calories without overloading the system as well.  This often means breaking up meals and eating them throughout the day rather than in three large portions.  This prevents the body taking in more than it can absorb, which could result in vitamins and nutrients not being absorbed.  It also prevents the metabolism from slowing between meals.

Mastering Metabolism To Lose Belly Fat and Healthy Weight Loss ~ Part 1

We all know that the metabolism plays a large part in how our body operates; on how fast we burn fat; and on how and where we gain weight.  Yet, knowing this is not enough if we wish to make that internal system work for us.  When trying to lose belly fat and healthy weight loss, it is essential to master your metabolism.

Metabolism is defined as a set of chemical reactions, which are the underlying reason why an organism can grow, reproduce, and continue to adapt to its environment.  The definition alone is enough to make one stop to consider the importance of truly understanding it.  Metabolism, when speaking of losing weight, is assumed to mean the process by which the body burns energy (calories).  Via the metabolism, the body is able to convert food calories to usable energy.  A strong metabolism will make those changes and burn through calories at a very quick rate, which is why some individuals can seem to eat anything in any quantity without noticeably gaining weight.  Everyone’s metabolism works at a slightly different rate.  These rates naturally slow as a person ages.  It is thought that the metabolism slows by five percent each decade after a person reaches the age of forty.  However, this does not mean that a person should give up on remaining thin and trim in their later years.  At forty years old, a large percentage of the population hasn’t even reached the mid-point of their life.  That being said, there are a number of wonderful reasons to fight a slowing metabolism and maintain or create the figure you desire, with healthy weight loss or to lose belly fat.
